Boracay is probably the top tourist destination in the Philippines. It is a great place to unwind yourself with a scenic beauty of one of God's greatest creation. With a beautiful long white beach it rivals the best beaches of the Carribean, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia. However, with all it's beauty and splendor, I have here the top three reasons when not to go there:
1. (Bed) Bad Weather - unless you want to spend your time on this island stuck inside a room with yourself or family or partner, it is best not to go to this lovely place. You won't get to enjoy the water, which i I think is one of the main reason why your going there anyway. There is also a great chance of you getting stuck in the island for a couple of days because the ferry can not cross the bay. Besides, most shops are closed because it is off-season.
2. No Budget - having just enough money for you fare and food won't do great justice in enjoying the whole package, unless you are a first timer, where just the thought of being "there" is a fantasy come true to you. If you just want peace and quiet and bask under the sun, you don't really need that big extra derbs (bread) to have fun. However, if you want to enjoy the works, like surfing, snorkeling, kayaking, diving, jet-skiing plus enjoy the delicious food and don't forget the night life where you can do lots of dancing, drinking and partying, it would really be best to have some extra bucks on the side. Besides, you might never know when you can set foot on this island again.
3. Past Memories - as in other romantic place or getaways, the island serves as one of a landmark for a great memory that could be remembered for the rest of your life. If you have been in this place with someone who you are no longer with, it would be wise not to come back right away, or not be back at all.
